What is CAMDS?

In brief: CAMDS is the Chinese version of IMDS.

Our team continues to grow and we take pleasure in presenting our new addition to the sales department: Since November, Mrs. Conny Kristen has been assisting us as Key Account Manager and will be at the disposal of our customers for questions related to the service- and consulting offer of imds professional. With the new release, a new function was introduced into IMDS: MDS Updates.

The objective and purpose of this function is to support compliance with change management. Change Management describes the conditions under which a material data sheet must be created anew or updated. In our Journal 09/2014, we have already mentioned this on Page 10.

Process chemicals are generally used in the production process, but are no longer present in the finished product. Materials that are listed in the "Process Chemicals" material group include liquids (e.g. solvents), reactants (polymerisation agents) and gases.

Their use must be monitored wherever and whenever a process chemical (basic substance) is added to a material data sheet in IMDS.
