Question 1a:

How are process chemicals defined in IMDS and when must these be reported in IMDS?

Answer:

Process chemicals are generally used in the production process, but are no longer present in the finished product. Materials that are listed in the "Process Chemicals" material group include liquids (e.g. solvents), reactants (polymerisation agents) and gases.

Their use must be monitored wherever and whenever a process chemical (basic substance) is added to a material data sheet in IMDS.
