The verification of the IMDS data is a responsible task and ensures the correctness of all supplier data in the IMDS. The statutory regulations can only be properly adhered to when there is flawless data.

As a full-service provider, we offer you a comprehensive service for checking and entering your IMDS data.

The advantages for you:

  • Your data will be verified by our IMDS expert team on time and according to the rules. You can be sure that your data is correct and thus save valuable time and costs, as you don't need to do time-consuming work in IMDS.
  • We are familiar with the IMDS guidelines and recommendations as well as the specific requirements of car manufacturers and major automotive suppliers. Using this knowledge and experience, we are able to provide you with highly reliable and efficient data verification.
  • We empower you to build your MDS much faster, so that you can meet ambitious customer deadlines.
  • We take over the communication with suppliers and customers during the data check (on request) and coordinate with your suppliers what has to be done to achieve acceptance of the material data sheets in case of a necessary rejection.

Here we present data verification, which is basically carried out on four levels:

  1. Completeness verification
This verification ensures that the parts, semi-finished products or materials specified in the material data sheets provided by you and your suppliers are complete and correctly weighted.
  2. Verification in accordance with legal substance conformity
This verification is based on Annex II to the end-of-life vehicle directive 2000/53/EC with regard to restricted basic substances. This Annex restricts the use and the maximum concentration value of lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium in materials used in the automotive industry.
  3. Verification as per REACH-relevant basic substances
This verification is based on the candidate list for REACH that is stored in the IMDS. Your material data sheet will be examined for substances of very high concern (SVHC) as part of the incoming data check.
  4. Verification in accordance with the IMDS rules and guidelines
This verification is based on the information provided by you, e.g. bills of material and/or drawings. It is verified whether the parts, semi-parts or materials listed there comply with the current IMDS guidelines.
